The enrolment process for Belgian Gardens State School is an important process, which is outlined in the steps following:

The enrolment process

Check the enrolment catchment map to determine whether your street address is in our catchment area. View our Enrolment Management Plan 2015

If you live in the catchment area, you are eligible to enrol at our school.

If you live outside the catchment area applications are still accepted onto our waiting list. Places offered are dependent on spaces available. Contact our office for further information.

Submitting documents

When submitting enrolment forms, you will need to come prepared with the correct documentation so that the enrolment process can proceed.

Enquiries for prep are to be made to the office to be included on the waiting list prep enrolments for the following year open in march the previous year

Years 1 to 6 are open in September for the following year – enquiries are to be made through the office.

You will need to bring the original copies of the following items, plus photocopies of each document.

  • Each child’s birth certificate or passport
  • Your current proof of residency
  • One of following documents
  • Current lease agreement, a rates notice or driver’s licence or an unconditional sale of agreement for purchasing a property
  • A utility bill (e.g. Electricity or gas account) showing your current address
  • A current passport and visa is required for any child born overseas
  • Proof of your child’s immunisation status
  • A recent school report card (if previously at another school)

Enrolment interview

At the enrolment interview, we will:

  • Discuss the details on the enrolment application
  • Discuss responsible behaviour plan
  • Discuss our school’s expectations of you and your child
  • Discuss our commitment to your child’s education
  • Complete an enrolment agreement
