At Belgian Gardens State School, teachers are supported to deliver educational programs that are differentiated to meet the individual and specific learning needs of each child. We are committed to identifying students at risk and addressing the needs of students as early as possible so they have their best chance at reaching their full potential. Our approach to supporting students aligns with Department's Whole School Approach to Differentiated Teaching and Learning.
Our Whole School Support Team meets fortnightly to discuss student referrals. The referrals are completed by the class teacher, following a discussion outlining their concerns with the student's parents. Our Whole School Support Team consists of the principal, deputy principals, guidance officer, head of inclusion, wellbeing teacher, SEP teachers and ST:LaNs.
