The Belgian Gardens State School Parents and Citizens Association (the P&C) is a voluntary, inclusive, not-for-profit organization affiliated directly with the school. Operating under its constitution the P&C represents adults from the community, particularly parents and caregivers of students at the school, to promote the interests and facilitate the development and further improvement of Belgian Gardens State School. The P&C is also the employer of the tuckshop convenor/s.

The P&C works closely and cooperatively with the principal, and contributes valuable fundraising to the school through business initiatives and fundraising activities held throughout each year, assisting the school with numerous projects.

The Belgian Gardens State School P&C executive consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer together with relevant subcommitttees, and the Principal who is an honorary member of the P&C. The subcommittees have been formed to support the main focus areas of the P&C, such as fundraising. Together they ensure that the commitments to the school and their legal responsibilities are met.

The P&C meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm in the school staffroom, except when it falls in the holidays. At the general meetings, the financial position of the P&C is reported on, the subcommittees present their reports and important issues are put forward for discussion and voted on if necessary.

All parents are welcome to attend the P&C meetings. You can become a member by downloading the P&C membership form.
