Tuckshop

The Tuckshop is a service organsied by the Parents and Citizens Association for the students, families and staff at our school.

We aim to provide nutritional lunches, snacks, drinks and coffee for parents, carers and teachers at affordable prices in a friendly and happy atmosphere. The BGSS Tuckshop is committed to Education Queensland's Smart Choices – the healthy food and drink strategy for Queensland schools.

Open Times

Our hours of operation are Monday - Tuesday from 8.00am - 11.30am, and Wednesday - Friday 8.00am - 2.00pm.

The lunch hours are 'First Break' 10.50am - 11.30am, and 'Second Break' 1.30pm - 2.10pm.

The best way to order your child's lunch is online at QKR External link Ž External link (https://qkr-store.qkrschool.com/store/#/home) External link or download the QKR app, this saves you time (preferred option). Simply logon and register today. CUT OFF TIME is 8.45am.

All orders must be received before 8.45am; if not, student an emergency (basic) lunch. Can be ordered on the App

Volunteers​

Our tuckshop is always looking for volunteers; it is vital in order to keep the operating costs down.

So if you have some time free; and hour in the morning, one day a week, once a month; any assistance is always greatly appreciated. You don't need experience, we are happy to show you the ropes! Tuckshop is also a great way to meet new people and learn new skills.

You may be unable to help out on site but love baking and can assist with the baking roster; this allows you to bake approved recipes at home!
